Yes, and it’s still screaming and vibrating. Your last piece of advice of throwing of the counter didn’t work last time either.
Hmm… Have you tried scratching the furniture up a bit?
I haven’t, hang on.
Did it help?
I was still doing it, it doesn’t seem to have worked.
Forget about it and go to sleep for 16 hours. It will eventually stop screaming.
Percussive maintenance doesn’t seem to work as well when the computer doesn’t have moving parts. I swear smacking the side of the case made shit load faster back when a 1GB hard drive was a massive amount of storage.
Hmm… Have you tried scratching at it furiously, pausing now and again to let out a long mournful meow?
My kitty is an evil tech wizard.
She crashed a newly installed default Debian Stable into an unbootable state, just by walking across the keyboard.Emily (pictured) and her sister Charlotte are more primitive tech destroyers:
both of them used to gnaw cords when they were younger and Charlotte once knocked over my coffee cup, spilling its contents into the (by my standards) expensive keyboard I’d gotten just a few days earlier 😄
Luckily it just needed to be wiped and left alone for a few hours before it started working properly again lol
My tech support kitty just says “Stop wasting time on nonsense hooman! I want treats now!!!”
