I used to agree with you, but now I really think he’s just a narcissist who wants the attention. If Twitter wasn’t profitable, the longer he owns it the more money he’s going to lose on top of how much he over paid for it. If he really wanted Twitter gone, he could have bought it and just… shut it off.

Well he admitted to making a mistake with his previous comment. He’s also since then been to Israel and supports their righteous cause.

And even if twitter dies, so what? Elon is loaded. To him it’s like a toy broke, but he has many more in the cupboard.
Twitter was useful to a lot of people. More useful than Musk.
To be honest, 99% of the planet still use Twitter. I also use Mastodon but it’s a drop in the ocean.
