most games are not foss, and it makes sense.
(games are more like works of art ranter than software after all, so it just doesn’t matter)

obviously inside as putting it outside would make thieves job significantly easier.
you can still break a window to pull it if there’s an emergency like with basically all other cars
there’s a mechanical override inside the car, but from outside doors can only be opened via nfc or remotely irrc (not a real safety issue tho as the doors can still be opened by breaking the windows like in basically all other cars)
omg ellie?
idk my optical sensor works really well, it only fails if i place my finger at a weird angle, but ultrasonic’s not going to fix that either
except it’s basically made useless by the fact that wifi/bt toggles don’t actually toggle off their respective radios, but just disconnect from the current network
i was asking about the passkeys specifically tho, not the biometric auth part of it
linux only supports hardware security keys like yubikey, not on-device passkeys atm
hdr support is coming tho
steamos already has it iirc (well, specifically gamescope)
kde 6 has experimental hdr support with wayland session
cosmic de devs promised hdr support in the first public stable release
what i really miss is passkeys (specifically, using tpm2 to store them like windows hello does)
not mine ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I have a series 5 Samsung 32" smart tv and except preloaded apps and stuff which can be removed there were absolutely no ads.
i even connected it to the internet and signed in with my Samsung account, still no ads
(maybe it’s a regional thing, mine is set to Ukraine)
only until restart.
to load unsigned extensions persistently, you must use nightly or developer edition and enable a hidden config flag.
firefox can install extensions outside of mozilla add-ons
release builds cannot and all extensions not signed by Mozilla will refuse to install
altstore can also be a non-apple non-altstore ios store if you live in the eu and pay them a fee, and it added that as a feature wayyy before aptoide (like you can install altstore officially without using the altstore workaround)
altstore
yeah, factory reset protection, it wipes the user data, but will refuse to fully finish setting up the the os after the reset until the google acct is verified…
you can just use group policy for most windows deshittification needs
that’s why I’ve been doing most of my gamedev stuff on an old craptop from 2016.
performance issues become apparent immediately
yes, but most games aren’t.
there’s no reason to avoid good indie games just because they’re not foss, unless you’re a toxic fossbro or something
