What is the difference between type 1 & 2 please ?
The NHS is on its knees due to 14 years of deliberate Tory underfunding and sabotage. Asking for a reasonable wage is not a unreasonable act.
The Tories have been bleeding the NHS for 13 years in the hoping of getting it to deteriorate to a point where they can make bank out of privatising it, without the british public realising it’s their fault.
A difficult balancing act as the NHS has near universal support across all voters so assassinating it while not being caught is tricky.

While lvxferre’s instructions are the ideal, there’s a simpler option
Download the mullvad.deb file.
Doubleclick on it from your file manager and it should automatically instsll
Every time you start mullvad it will check if the version is current and prompt you (with a link to click on) to upgrade if it’s not.
Note that works on mint, should work on ubuntu unless they’ve disabled dpkg

No Linus hasn’t grabbed a red rag and isn’t off to foment revolution
I’ve not had any trouble with HPs, burn a boot USB and boot a live distro and see if it works.
TBH I must have been lucky because the only linux hardware support grief I’ve had with laptops (a dozen all different brands) has been wifi cards/drivers. The one time I had that problem I coughed up the £20 and replaced the pcie wifi card with an Intel one.
Then again I don’t try to make fingerprint readers work which apparently is a pain
