Doubt’ll be the fire of your delight.
I’m pretty not neurodivergent generally, but I also seriously struggle with this. My partner is exceptionally adept at navigating these things, if we had the same health problems I definitely would have died (no hyperbole) already for lack of being able to reach care the way things are set up.
Oh man, I wonder why no one ever thought of randomly injecting ads into content before? What geniuses they must have working at YouTube. I can’t even comprehend the big-brainedness. I’m sure people will love it.
8 bit games would label the computer player as CPU as a shorthand, I honestly probably got snapped at by a nerd sometime in my teens for making the mistake and got the central processing unit lecture so I don’t really make that association but I also never heard anyone pronounce “NES” not as an acronym prior to YouTube, so, I figure different people have different experiences also.
I have a 32 bit machine that is still in service for this task and some others, but I’d rather run it on a modern machine (m1 mac)
Can Wine run 32bit Windows adobe software?
Great. That covers what, 1 month of his administration? Keep going, unless you’re cherrypicking this incredibly active recent two weeks. This list should be enormous.
Oh man, don’t stop, what about two weeks prior to that? And two weeks before that? I bet we must be living in a consumer utopia with the pace of the last two weeks, surely applied to the last 3 years, right? right?
I think our parent’s generation (or maybe their parents’?) would have said something like “There ought to be a law!” but we don’t say that because we don’t expect anyone in office will ever help us. Hm.
I am honestly guessing but as long there’s mac compatibility on those (older) games I’d expect them to run just fine. MacOS is probably my favorite OS from an overall coherency standpoint, power with the command line, aesthetics and usability. You’re just not going to find a lot of overlap between people who use linux and the traditional mac crowd (except when it comes to software development weirdly, which is where I sit), but it is criminally underdiscussed around here every time Windows enshittifies. (BTW, not a fanboy, running multiple Windows, Linux and MacOS systems at home)
I think the question is: should we have designed the internet such as to have made it impossible to find bomb plans on it? And to be honest, I don’t think the internet would be what it is if it were possible to have that level of filtering and censorship. Child porn is reprehensible in any form. To me, it makes more sense to blame the moron with the hammer than to blame the hammer.
What you’re saying is based on the predicate that the system can’t draw concepts it has never seen which is simply untrue. Everything else past that is sophistry.
Edit: also not continuing a conversation with someone who is hostile to the basic rules of logic.
Ok? Hundreds of images of anything isn’t going to necessarily train a model based on billions of images. Have you ever tried to get Stable Diffusion to draw a bow and arrow? Just because it has ever seen something doesn’t mean that it has learned it, nor, more importantly, does that mean that is the way it learned it, since we can see that it can infer many concepts from related concepts- pregnant old women, asian nazis, black george washingtons (NONE OF WHICH actually have ever existed or been photographed)… is unclothed children really more of a leap than any of those?
If the system must see something to generate it, and the system can’t generate things that don’t exist, then how is it generating pregnant old women?
The misinformation you’re spreading is related to how it works. A generative AI system will (without prompting away from it) create people with 3 heads, 8 fingers on each hand and multiple legs connecting to each other. Do you think it was trained on that? This argument of “it can generate it, therefore it was trained on it” is ridiculous. You clearly don’t understand how it works.
You’re spreading misinformation and getting called out for it.
Right, and the google image ai gobbled up a bunch of images of black george washington, right? They must have been in the data set, there’s no way to blend a vector from one value to another, like you said. That would be madness. Nope, must have been copious amounts of asian nazis in the training set, since the model is incapable of blending concepts.
All they’re going to do is teach the AI that sometimes people end posts with useless disclaimers.
