  • Hypothethical imaginary situations that are supposed to scare Leftists or other sensible individuals into toeing the dem party lines are false and useless

i keep seeing this analogy and conclusions pop up everywhere on here over the last three months and I’m think a neo-liberal developer has unleashed a host of bot accounts that parrot their party’s propaganda on Lemmy

  • When did they say they were throwing their vote away or voting for trunp? You can always expect false analogies from genocidal democrats.

Political/Voting Apathy is a thing, if an individual’s interest and values don’t align with yours, you can’t expect them to support or follow your party. The Biden-led government committed a genocide, deal with the consequences

  • Xubuntu in a vm on win10, Ubuntu, Fedora, Arch, OpenSuse Tumbleweed with Kde, and now Nix.

I used Fedora the longest and OpenSuse the shortest as Kde reminded me so much of horrible windows. I’ve also tried a lot of other distros in a vm or live usb, Linux Mint, Mubuntu, Void linux, the one without any Gnu component(Artix?) and some other ones. I also have ISOs of some other esoteric Oses on my computer, DebianHurd, Redox, can’t even remember rn but I’m yet to try them out.

I’m mentally restraining myself from distrohopping to Guix and or FreeBSD as I doubt I’d have the same workflow I have now on NixOS. To have distrohopped this much in the space of 18 months is why I’m a failed Javascript programmer.

  • I don’t understand why people feel this way.

I have a lot of interests and things I do, if I see something I like online, I keep the tab open. This way, I’ve accumulated a lot of tabs, I’ve allocated a small amount of time in my daily activites just before sleeping in which I chip away at different tabs. That way I learn new things daily and get to close a lot of tabs. I can say I have over a thousand open tabs.

That said, I have a lot of browsers. I can literally say I collect browsers, but they have to be Foss or non-chromium. On my linux install, I have 12 browsers, I generally use or have open tabs in 8 of them, the rest I use from time to time. On my previous arch-install, I had over 15. On my lineageOS, I also have 12 and I’m still getting more from F-droid. I use around 6 on here.

Like I said, I group my tabs by interests, i.e tech, education and open new article depending on the topic in each tab. I use LinkSheet on android and Junction on linux. If I like a tab and want to keep it around, I use Native Alpha on android and Tangram on linux to create web apps for them. I open and save wikipedia articles on the Wikipedia apps on both OS’s.

  • A lot of the people who refuse to criticise Israel today would have been quite at home with the Nazis, even if they were jews themselves. It is the same with those who justify the wrong doings of whatever state they support.

Isreal doesn’t belong in the middle east, it should be between Germany and Poland so that Europe would forever be reminded of its atrocities. Failure to forcibly eject these colonizers would only result in more innocent palestinian casualties.

  • Yeah, I think since the practice is based on organized religion and there’s no consent when circumcised, the validity of circumcision is quite questionable.

But, medically speaking, is circumcision harmful?

That’s a genuine question and I see a lot of uncircumcised people complain about phimosis and the skin flap getting tighter and more uncomfortable as they grow older, being cut sounds better.
