That seems to be a great distro to follow
Great thing, but bro please be a country against chat-control
It’s not purely the ads that bother me, it’s the company behind it, to integer ads you have to use google, meta scripts. Big problem for privacy
But with this change from reddit to Lemmy the should have done the same thing for their client
I’m okay with him earning money to live, but put ads is absolutely not something to do. Donate to him, etc. But you shouldn’t use an app with ads
Why does he done it with ads?
I’m sure talking about the 30days challenge from Raid Owl and I have an idea of his conclusion. First he’s a power user (not in the fact of tweaking and scratch in the file system), he needs a lot of stuff to work. And for someone outside of the traditional office work or maybe developing, Linux is hard to use for graphics works, so sure Linux Mint is not for this kind of people but you should always recommended it to “normal” people and beginner in Linux. Sure in this case his conclusion is wrong, he should have used Fedora, Arch or OpenSUSE, but that’s it.
Who is he?
For sure! Personally I prefer using the app
Great for piracy!
Maybe but you’ve done the transition to Lemmy try to use a libre client
Maybe but not only, for phone I recommend an app that’s much more optimized for using on mobile
Bro why using Lemmy if it’s for using proprietary client? Voyager, Jerboa, you have others choice…
First, you use Lemmy, that’s great. But pls use a client without ads…
I would like to thank him for everything, just thx ❤️ RIP
Great choice, now do not say the same thing next year!
There is ONE problem, the parents.
You shouldn’t disallow everything in your state… The parents should be educated about it and say stop to their kids, these days parents are submerged by all the techs stuff and they don’t understand anything. Sadly. The problem is more global, even 20-25 years old adults do nothing about their days because they doom-scroll… This shouldn’t be banned (but yeah the companies behind it are evil to do some evil stuffs), after they will banned everything.
😂😂
That’s really depending on your use cases, for example if I want to install distro for my grandma use Mint, for a graphic guy (as in this example) use Arch or Fedora (or even OpenSUSE), etc.
