  • Fire is much more complex than that. Fires appearance comes from:

    • blackbody radiation, as you point out from smoke particles but also from gaseous components
    • chemiluminescence, the chemical reaction itself emits light, and this is why fires can burn in different colors. In fact you can buy additives which are generally metals which make fires burn blue or green or red, etc.

Fire is an active chemical reaction. It’s a transition between often solid or liquid, sometimes gaseous, fuels, into gaseous products, all while undergoing a chemical reaction. It’s not a state of matter, states of matter concern the phase of equilibrium conditions, and fire is decidedly not in equilibrium.

  • With about a half an hour of reading documentation it became very clear a couple versions ago what work benches were, which were useful to me, and how to use them. That’s maybe longer than going from inventor to solidworks or visa versa, but hardly that bad. For a beginner it will be taking a long time anyway and there will be essentially no difference, except that you’ll learn a much more robust understanding of how parametric modeling works.

I’d more likely agree that it’s a cold way to put it. Hardly flowery, and hardly is someone trying to convince you to vote a certain way voter suppression. That’s just called politics. That’s like, the core conceit of an election, no less.

If you’re going to protest vote at least be honest about what it is, “it’s not a spoiler vote, I’m just intentionally not voting for the candidate I [most likely] prefer on this candidate I know won’t win.”
