Even out here in the rural areas people who have these ridiculous, oversized, luxery trucks aren’t using them for actual work. I guess that was kinda my point. People who haul stuff want something affordable that can take a bit of a beating. Not some gas guzzling humongous thing that doesn’t even offer more hauling space.
Those trucks are definitely not being built for work. I hate them because finding a decent work truck that won’t bankrupt me is becoming a huge hassle.

American here looking to buy a truck that’s not absurdly oversized and over priced. I need it to haul hay and bring garbage to the dump. I save a couple hundred a year for bringing my own garbage instead of doing trash pick up, and hay deliveries cost way more than they used to.
Plus my rural area requires driving everywhere and the winters are pretty bad so a 4 wheel drive vehicle is good to have for going to work or emergencies.
I’m looking into those tiny Japanese kei trucks as a potential alternative if I can’t find something that’s reasonable though.

Usually if someone was caught in video they don’t want to be in decent folks will at least blur their face, good people will blur the faces of strangers without being asked.
What corporations are doing is exploitive and downright greedy. Most of what’s been posted was done before this AI issue was even a thought.

My husband and I are the same height. Never understood the whole tall dude preference/requirement but people are into different things I guess. A nice side perk is I can borrow his shirts and not be swimming in them. They’re still baggy and comfortable from the different cut, but not so big the sleeves cover my hands.

Unfortunately for women they weigh the side effects of hormonal birth control against those of a pregnancy. Since pregnancy also increases the chance of blood clots and other things they just say “good enough!” And put it on the market…which is bullshit. Either way we’re at higher risk of serious health issues.

That’s why women are angry. I feel confident saying the majority of women dont want unsafe bc for men. We want more research into safer bc options available for us too.

If the bat isn’t afraid of people call animal control because it is sick with rabies or something and shut it in the room it’s in. Usually they are very timid and will try to get away from you though.

I should’ve added that rabies is very rare in bats where I am so that’s probably why I was given the advice I was.

I’m simply repeating what I was told by professionals, so I’m not sure what you want from me.

Make sure the bat takes flight…some people might not know that and just put it on the ground and go back inside thinking it’s fine.

Holding it up high ensures it does that, no need for it to find something to climb. Being trapped in a house is stressful on the little guys so why not give them the best chance?

Maybe it depends on the species of bat? I only know about the ones local to me and what I was taught from a wildlife rehab hotline on how to handle bats that get in the house.

My parents attic was a bat haven. Every once in awhile one would get into the house. I’d just put thick leather garden gloves on and GENTLY pluck them off the curtains. Then carry them outside, hold them above my head and let them go.

Bats can’t take flight from the ground(putting them on the ground is a death sentence), so you have to give them some height so they can glide away. Just thought I’d share this in case anyone gets a bat trapped in their house.

I think one of the many problems with AI generated CSAM is that as AI becomes more advanced it will become increasingly difficult for authorities to tell the difference between what was AI generated and what isn’t.

Banning all of it means authorities don’t have to sift through images trying to decipher between the two. If one image is declared to be AI generated and it’s not…well… that doesn’t help the victims or create less victims. It could also make the horrible people who do abuse children far more comfortable putting that stuff out there because it can hide amongst all the AI generated stuff. Meaning authorities will have to go through far more images before finding ones with real victims in it. All of it being illegal prevents those sorts of problems.

Sometimes I miss my blackberry because it had a keyboard and would read the name of who was texting me as an alert. It also fit in my pocket a lot better and the screen never cracked.

Wish they’d make a new model of that phone. I’d consider getting one if they could manage to not fuck it up with unnecessary features.
