The witness 80% off working out to 10.89 irks me. significantly better games with more content are like 6 bucks. I guess when there are no achievements hinting at something being missed, you aren’t compelled to find and do the most bullshit timed challenge in any game I can remember, which increases its value… ?

disclaimer: I enjoyed the first 15-30 minutes or so of the witness then suffered through the slog of completing every last thing. Even my autistic friends that unintentionally did 100% speedruns didn’t like it which gave me the echo chamber I had desired the whole time playing.

the acids used in brewery for sanitization can wreck metals too. we had some plated brass fittings that got mixed in with the stainless stuff and the acid water turned green and the brass was exposed. some other formerly shiny parts turned grey and chalky and very soft. Some places love their brass but I just want everything to be stainless so I can leave it soaking in sani for as lonng as I’m too lazy to deal with it which is forever.

i haven’t heard of any of those apart from breyers and breyers isn’t very good on my region at least. feels whipped into frozen foam to fill the container with like a quarter of the product, the only one other than nestle that gives me a mouth full of air and a teaspoon of liquid every bite that melts. If I don’t let it melt it feels like I swallowed air after what would be over indulging by volume but not weight.

I had an nvidia card in my possession briefly recently. when I was testing it I found distros that have a separate nvidia installer image are the way to go if you dont want to have a shit time. Converting a standard image post install is about as much of a shit task as it was back when I had a gtx 460. once its set up either way it seems mostly fine but I already had a more recent amd card and don’t want to deal with the kernel module crap. dkms has failed me a few times in the old days and I never forgave it.

I can walk endlessly in dirt trails, even mid to advanced hiking trails while hauling shit in a huge backpack, but the moment I touch pavement I can only manage a couple minutes.

most people I have dealt with can’t even get on the internet if the browser icon moves a few spaces over. regular settinngs menus are out of the question for them, let alone an extra program for settings with names that don’t reflect their purpose in a laymans eyes. On the other hand I have had pretty decent success telling people to press win+x, release the keys, press a or whatever for cmd/powershell then copy paste a one liner, assuming a cmd/powershell command is available for the issue. or making a registry file they can double click.

i still don’t understand why people are scared of command line when a lot of the fixes for windows bullshit require it in addition to registry editing, and also sometimes gpedit which is enterprise only now iirc.

I always hit the slash instead and the short shift messes me up too. although I switched to grid aligned 1u keys for everything recently and other boards were put up for free for a month or so and anything unclaimed went to the electronics pile at the transfer station.

i haven’t looked into it too much because steam deck isnt quite enough to appreciate the visual mods, but I feel like I’ve already seen a mod for that
