    No bad luck needed when the World turned on them when they won their freedom. It may no longer be the case but such a scar leaves long lasting effects.

      They had bad luck choosing leaders. They had bad luck with the earthquake. The UN and US has come to their rescue many times.

        The US previously invaded Haiti in 1915, then intercedes in 1994, after a miltary coup in 1991, and reinstalls a former President (Aristide). Notably they did nothing to help Haiti when Papa and Baby Doc Duvalier were murdering thousands under their dictatorships.

        America has only been hands-off when it suited their needs.

          Sure, let’s forget a 9.0 earthquake when US doctors flew into help, a US warship was floated into the harbor to provide water. US troops came to help. It was all because it suited US needs…
