Even if your partner is supportive otherwise, unless they are bi or pansexual to beginn with, I can imagine, that this is a difficult part when your straight relationship suddenly changes into a queer one or vice versa over your partners transition.

I doubt there is actually a country that has a law about it. That cinemas don’t allow it, doesn’t mean there is a law.
My sister doesn’t allow people to wear shoes in her living room. Doesn’t mean there is a law against shoes in living rooms and you will be arrested for wearing shoes.

Maybe I wasn’t clear enough in my comment. Of course I don’t mean “The Jewish people” as a complete entity. I mean, Germany is unconditionally and it seems without critical thinking supporting Israel because their guilt towards Jewish people clouds their judgment.
Because of what we did, we can not show any critic or judgment towards Israel, because that’s “anti-semitic”. Which is a stance, that in my opinion actually harms any effort against anti-semitism.

I feel like this is especially true for English since it seems to me there are no spelling rules that convey pronunciation. You can have 2 words spelled completely the same save from one letter and the pronunciation is nowhere near the same.
I’m not sure how this is in other languages, but in my native german (which is always said to be difficult to learn) when you understand the spelling rules you can always assume the correct pronunciation of a word. Certain letter combinations always amount to the same way of pronouncing it.
I guess this is because both languages started out in the germanic language family, but over the course of history english adapted way more from other languages and just made them their own. Including differences in spelling, but maybe not as much pronunciation. Best example is “Bologna”, which is still the italian/latin spelling, but no one near italy would call it “Baloney” .
I’m always amazed at how native speakers learn to write things like that, since you cant count on what you hear at all.
I’m sorry, you are going through this. When believe systems and religion comes into it, something that can’t be reasoned with or logically worked through, it all becomes so much more complicated.
