Dang we really have grown.
Dang we really have grown.
They don’t. The genocide and theft of land of their indigenous populations mostly happened less than 150 years ago. That land should be returned to indigenous sovereignty.
How that decolonization should proceed is a question not for the colonizers or their descendents to answer, but the indigenous tribes themselves.
I hadn’t heard of that bug, could you link the github issue?
Could you open up an issue on the github for this (if you didn’t already).
Not always, but I try to add features to it quickly that get added to lemmy.
Thx! Let me know if the postgres upgrade helper script I provided has any issues.
This is correct, and we’ve been following this for lemmy too.
That’s my bad really. Currently we’re using the patch semver to denote non-breaking changes, and the minor for breaking.
We’re holding off on a major release until the API reaches stable, which like all open source projects we’re reticent to do because then it puts a lot of pressure on us to match the standard of enterprise-level software developed by a large corporation.
Even though lemmy has many thousands of monthly active users, we’re still really an beta-level software developed by a handful of people.
Nice
Yep, major thanks to @asonix for adding this to pict-rs.

No probs!
I’m considering locking / removing this thread, because of the massive number of orientalist comments and articles being posted. Redditors have no idea how racist they’re being right now, its completely unnacceptable.
Finally found it! Not on youtube of course. The CNN one cuts off all the important parts.
That one cuts off right before the interesting part. When he keeps climbing up and down the tank, having a conversation with the crew, tries to stop it a 2nd time, and then gets rushed off by bystanders without incident.
Youtube keeps removing the full video, every link I used to have of it is gone.
Does anyone have the full video link, that shows the entire interaction? Youtube keeps censoring / removing it.
EDIT: Finally found it! Not on youtube of course. The CNN one cuts off all the important parts.
Ahhh it got me too.
The web dying (i mean web browsers, html, javascript, etc) wouldn’t be such a bad thing imo.
Look at what’s happened to nearly every static content site in the past few years, they’ve become nearly unusable.
News companies can try to convince ppl to use their apps, but everyone else will continue to use social media apps to get most of their news like they already do anyway. Ppl wanting static content can use the minimal protocols like gemini, gopher, or even a simple markdown web browser, which are already better than most news sites.
