None of these are contested territories. Chinese vessels go there all the time and nobody really cares.

Unfortunately true for a lot of European countries. It’s easy to post a 20 second video about “foreigners bad” and kids with the attention span of a gnat will eat it right up. A longer video that explains why things really are the way they are will get swallowed by the algorithm. It just amplifies populism and outrage and will be one of the great hurdles to overcome this century.
According to Wikipedia, Deus Ex MD, Hitman, Life is Strange 1&2, and the new Tomb Raider trilogy all have native Linux ports.
That’s pretty cool. Square Enix is one of the better AAA-publishers when it comes to Linux support, they had native ports for Deus Ex, Tomb Raider, Hitman and a bunch more.
I’ve tried pretty much every app there is and ended up with Thunder. It’s got a huge amount of features and polish, a clean UI and gets regular updates. The only issue is that I don’t see the number of upvotes on posts since my home instance upgraded Lemmy, though that will probably get fixed soon.

96·22 days agoIf the CEO of Lyft got repeated warnings that this very thing was happening and ignored them willfully, then yes. In the end he has nobody to blame but himself. It’s no different from hosting a file sharing platform without ever vetting the content and wondering why the cops show up one day. The stupidity of going to France knowing that you’re a wanted man in a number of countries is just the cherry on top.

Exactly. Telegram has a ton of public channels full of content that is illegal in most EU countries and refuses to comply with any local laws on things like hate speech. They know perfectly well what their platform is used for, they just don’t care. It would be a wildly different case if everything were E2E encrypted by default.
Not really comparable because the illegal content is hosted and distributed through his servers. Which is why most sites are moderated to a degree. This dude basically said “fuck off” whenever takedowns were issued. It’s hardly a surprise that he’s been arrested.
It’s nowhere near comparable. Us prisons are far from perfect but the things you’d experience in Russia are hell on earth.
Except in Russia it is systematic and perpetuated by the guards.
You have zero idea how bad Russian prisons actually are. Beatings, starvations and rape are considered normal in many places. There’s a reason many convicts would rather get sent to war. I’d spent the next 10 years in an American prison before even one year in a Russian one.
Yeah it’s a shame because the design was super cool. They were fairly expensive though and you can get basically any other hatchback with much higher range for a fraction of the cost.

I was just wondering if we’re gonna get any news of the prequel during Gamescom. So glad to hear that it was not among the games 2K cancelled earlier this year. Hangar13 did great with the Mafia Remake so I am extremely hyped for this.
