  • Well, kinda. Vaccines are tools for “educating” your immune system. Classical vaccines generally work by providing “dead”/harmless examples of a particular infection, so that your immune system will recognize the real thing and stop it early, so it doesn’t develop to much. The immune system takes a while to get going, so “teaching” it in advance makes a huge difference against aggressive, quick acting infections.

The mRNA vaccines skip most of the “learning phase” and provide the body directly with the template to produce the right antibodies. And this is where the “cure”-part comes in. The whole problem with cancer is that it consists of a variation of your own cells. Which is why the immune system won’t target it. It’s not an infection or foreign. To your immune system it’s just another part of you. mRNA can be used to tell the immune system to attack it anyway, leveraging it against the cancer. But it requires a sample of the cells to be attacked, so as to make the right mRNA for the particular instance of cancer. So it’s not really useable as a preventative thing. At least not yet…

  • As a car guy, there is so much wrong in this picture

Why is he running motorcycle tyres?

Right front wheel is a spoked alloy wheel, but the left is some kind of inverted steel wheel or something, with no space for any brakes.

Spare wheels are way smaller, much wider and generally completely different than the ones on the car.

Why is the pit crew wearing helmets, but the driver isn’t?

What is the random wrench for?

The car is styled like it has a turbine engine, but Mario is sitting right in the middle of the intake, blocking it.

The one wheel we can see, doesn’t have a center nut or anything that the impact wrenches on the ground would fit on.

  • Sorry, I’m not saying; that isn’t Adolf Hitler, but your steps 3, 4, and 5 are a bit “eeehhh”.

Step 3: ask Yourself what are the odds that someone has a doppelganger Hitler grandfather

In a population as large as ours there is a pretty good chance, that there is someone who looks a lot like Hitler.

Step 4: ask Yourself who in their right fucking mind would put a picture/ portrait of their grandfather if he looked just like Hitler…

Someone who doesn’t hate their family member?.. If my beloved grandpa resembled a bad historical figure, that wouldn’t ever prevent me from hanging his picture on my wall. They’d have nothing in common apart from superficial apperance.

Step 5: ask yourself; why would a grandfather who looked just like Hitler; why would he give himself that hairstyle and give himself that mustache … Grandfather must have heard of Hitler… no?

When is the picture from? Before the second world war that style of mustache and hair do were fairly common. Doesn’t have to be a grandfather. Could just as well be a great grandfather…

  • The suggestion of not owning games refers to having subscription-based access to them; as of yet only ever offered as a suggested alternative to purchasing games, which is still very much an option.

That is exactly the problem though. How long will it be until the subscription model is no longer an option but the only option? Because i would bet money on that being the actual goal.
